Prophet Babatunde Kumoluyi, The General Overseer of The Word Bible Church Worldwide has urged the federal, state and local governments should initiate policies and programmes for provision of free education as a way of development of the Nigerian youths and securing the country’s future.

These can be achieved through equipping youths – who are the leaders of tomorrow with vocational skills and creation of jobs.

‘’The government must invest in the development of youths through the provision of free education, as it is critical to job creation and securing the country’s future’’, he suggested.

The General Overseer of The Word Bible Church Worldwide, further suggested that the recovered loots could be channelled into providing free education in Nigeria as Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo did and has become indelible in the hearts of Nigeria, while speaking in Ado Ekiti ahead of the church’s 30th-anniversary celebration.

He blamed the security challenges in the country on graduates’ involvement in evil acts having been unable to find jobs after many years of graduation, saying that people have the feeling that government has ignored its job creation responsibility.

Phophet Kumoluyi outlined cyber-crimes, armed robbery, ritual killing, kidnapping, banditry, and other criminal activities as crimes graduates take to because they believe government doesn’t have them in their any plan.

He further reiterated that the policies and programmes capable of developing the youths as future leaders must be initiated by the government.

Although education is supposed to be free in the majority of the state-owned institutions, students are required to pay some contingencies in fees that amount to about N 50,000 per session.
